CLAT 2024 Counselling

The Common Law Admission Test CLAT 2024 counselling will be released on the official website just after the conclusion of the CLAT 2024 exam and result. The Consortium of National Law Universities is expected to start CLAT counselling in the second week of December. The CLAT counselling process is completely online, from filling out the admissions process to allotting colleges to candidates.

CLAT 2024 counselling will be conducted in five rounds, and the candidates invited for thecounselling have to pay a fee of Rs. 30,000 if they belong to the general category and Rs. 20,000 if they belong to the reserved category for the CLAT counselling registration.

Steps of counselling process:

Adding Preferences: In the CLAT 2024 counselling process, adding NLUs (National Law Universities) preferences is an essential step, as candidates will only be considered for admission to NLUs if they have filled in their preferences. Students can update their preferences before the stipulated deadline.

Result declaration: After the announcement of the CLAT 2024 result, qualified students will be eligible for the counselling process.

Counselling process fee: To take part in the counselling process, candidates need to pay a registration fee. For the general category, it is Rs 30, 000, and for the reserve category (SC/ST), it is Rs 20,000.

Registration for the counselling process: Students need to register themselves to participate in the counselling process; they need to fill in their basic information, educational details, and other relevant details. Remember to download the application process after completing the registration and payment processes.

Allotment of seats: After successful counselling registration, on the basis of the added preferences and rank obtained, the candidates will be allotted seats. The allotment of seats will be done in several rounds.

Acceptance

After seat allotment, candidates need to accept the seat by completing counselling registration and paying fee.

Upgrade or Exit

Students who are not satisfied with the allotted seat can apply for upgrade in the following round of counselling or exit the admission process.

Admission fee payment: To confirm their admission, students need to pay their admission fee. The amount of the admission fee and mode of payment may vary depending on the NLUs. During the admissions process, students need to verify the original documents that include the CLAT scorecard, CLAT admit card, Class 10th and 12th mark sheets, category certificates, and other relevant documents. After the fee payment is done, the candidate has confirmed their seat.

Reporting to college: Lastly, students’ needs to report to their allotted colleges after the admission process is completed. An orientation and induction program is conducted by NLUs, which provides an overview of the academic curriculum.

What are freeze, float and exit options?

If the candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat during counselling, then they may choose freeze, by doing so they are confirming their seat for allotted NLU and donot wish to participate for further counselling rounds.

If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat and wish to participate in further rounds of counselling then they may choose float option, this enables them to further participate in the counselling round. When allotted a seat in next round the previous allotted seat will be forfeited.

If the candidate decides to not participate in the counselling process, then they may choose exit option. This will withdraw their name from the counselling process and will not enable them to participate in the further rounds.

CLAT 2024: Norms of Counselling Fee Refund:

The following candidates will get a refund for the counselling fee:

  1. If the candidate is not allotted any seat in the counselling process, they are entitled to a 100% fee refund.
  2. If a candidate is allotted a seat but chooses to exit the counselling process, they will also get a refund, but with some deductions.
  3. If candidates are found ineligible for admission, then they will get a refund after some deductions.

Seminar on "Media Marketing"

To acquaint students with the significance and function of media marketing, KCC Institute of Legal and Higher Education (KCCILHE) hosted a seminar on "Media Marketing" . We were honored to have Mr. Sridhar Aranala, Vice President of Sales & Distribution at The Hindu Group, as our distinguished guest and resource person. Additionally, we were privileged to have Mr. Sunil Mirza, GM (North India) of the Hindu Group of Publications, as our special guest.

Students eagerly anticipated the insights of accomplished professionals and industry expert Mr Sridhar Aranala who shared his knowledge and experiences in the realm of media marketing. His talk encompassed various topics, including the role and importance of media marketing, business supply chains, and the evolution of media marketing. Students gained insights into how diverse businesses employ various marketing strategies to promote their products. Our esteemed guest also showcased informative video clips, enhancing the students' understanding of the role of media marketing.

The seminar culminated with an engaging question-and-answer session, in which students actively participated.

Visit to the Supreme Court of India

KCC Institute of Legal and Higher Education organized a visit to the Supreme Court of India for 1st and 2nd-year BBA LLB and BA LLB students. The purpose was to provide firsthand experience and exposure to the workings of India’s highest judicial institution, aiming to broaden their understanding of legal proceedings. The students were divided into seven groups to observe proceedings in different courts with varying bench compositions.

Notably, a Constitutional Bench led by Chief Justice Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud along with Associate Judges Mr. Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Mr. Justice B.R. Gavai, Mr. Justice J.B. Pardiwala, and Mr. Justice Manoj Misra, was in the process of hearing petitions challenging the legality of the “Electoral bonds scheme,” a mechanism that facilitates anonymous donations to political parties. The other benches were presided over by Honourable Judges, Mr. Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Mr. Justice S. Sundresh Deppankar Das, Mr. Justice Suryakant Datta, Mr. Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai, Mr. Justice Aniruddha Bose, Ms. Justice Bela M. Trivedi and Justice Mr. Ujjal.

The visit aimed to complement theoretical knowledge with practical exposure, allowing students to interact with legal professionals, experience courtroom dynamics, and understand the application of laws in real cases. Interaction with members of the Bar Association provided practical insights into the legal profession, and students explored the Court's library and Museum to enrich their knowledge of legal history and resources. Overall, the visit intended to enhance students' legal education by immersing them in the real-world environment of the apex court.

18th Annual Sports Meet of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University

The students of KCC Institute of Legal and Higher Education (KCCILHE) recently showcased their sporting prowess at the 18th Annual Sports Meet of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). The event, held from October 16th to 21st, 2023, was a platform for athletes from various institutions to come together and compete in a wide array of sports, including Volleyball, Chess, Yoga, Kabaddi, Tennis, Cross Country Race, Badminton, and Athletics.

In the sport of Athletics, Ujjawal Deshwal, a student from the BBA Vth semester, added a glint of glory to KCCILHE by securing a well-deserved bronze medal in the Long Jump event. His exceptional performance not only reflected his dedication to the sport but also the quality of training and coaching provided by KCCILHE.

In addition to Ujjawal Deshwal's remarkable achievement, the KCCILHE teams in various other sports also made their presence felt at the Annual Sports Meet. The institute's participants displayed commendable teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship, reflecting the core values instilled in them by their educational institution.

The KCCILHE Volleyball team exhibited their skills and teamwork on the court, and the Chess enthusiasts displayed their strategic prowess. The Yoga practitioners showed their flexibility and inner strength, while the Kabaddi players demonstrated their physical and mental toughness. The Tennis, Badminton, and Cross Country Race teams gave their best efforts, showcasing KCCILHE's all-around sporting spirit.

As the 18th Annual Sports Meet at GGSIPU concluded, the KCCILHE students returned to their campus with heads held high, their medals and achievements standing as a testament to their commitment, skill, and sportsmanship. Glimpses of Academic Procession - Graduation Ceremony, KCC ILHE Batch 2019

On October 28, 2023, the KCC Institute of Legal & Higher Education in Greater Noida held its Convocation for the graduating class of 2019-2022. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the graduates eagerly awaited the moment when they would officially receive their degrees. The event commenced with a formal academic procession featuring distinguished guests, academic faculty, and the graduating students making their grand entrance.
