Seminar on “Vision of Free India: A Transforming Role of New Education Policy: 2020”

The inaugural session of Two-Day ICSSR Sponsored National Seminar on “Vision of Free India: A Transforming Role of New Education Policy: 2020” organised by KCC Institute of Legal & Higher Education was conducted on 26 May, 2023. This seminar was organized with an aim to give a platform of discussion on National Education Policy to encourage everyone to work for a unique education system which can meet the global standards of education.

Speakers:

1. Dr Anirban Ganguly, Director, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Research Foundation.

2. Dr Ranjana Arora, Professor, National Council of Educational Research and Training.

3. Dr Durgesh Tripathi, Professor, GGSIPU

4. Dr. Lokesh Jindal, Associate Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru University

Major key issues of discussion were: Aspects of NEP, Choice-based Credit System , Flexibility in the National Education Policy, Evaluation and Assessment, Standard Operation of Procedure for implementation of NEP and Impact of National Education Policy on Indian Education System. Overall the seminar was successful in creating awareness on the perspectives of the National Education Policy among participants.

KCC ILHE: Farewell 2023

May 28, 2023 was a memorable day for the final-year students of Batch 2020-23 as the junior batch of KCC Institute of Legal and Higher Education hosted a  grand farewell ceremony to bid a lively and joyful goodbye to their seniors . The ceremony commenced with an address by the Director Prof. (Dr.) Bhavna Agarwal, who has always generously imparted her wisdom to the pupils and guided them towards the right path. She expressed her desire to see all the students achieve  great heights of success and asked the seniors to smoothly take on the responsibilities and set a remarkable example for their juniors .

The cultural programme started with an amazing dance performance followed by singing, drama and jam session . Students walked on the ramp in stylish and beautiful outfits.The cultural program concluded at the declaration of Mr and Ms. Farewell .

All students enjoyed the delicious dinner and captured all moments with their juniors.The excitement inflated on DJ beats. Joy and happiness could be seen on the faces all around. The farewell was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness.

Workshop on ‘Climbing the Corporate Ladder’

School of Management, KCC Institute of Legal & Higher Education organized one workshop on ‘Climbing the Corporate Ladder’ on 18 May 2023. The resource person Mr. Sandeep Bist, Head HR, Mida Corporation Ltd. took a very engaging session and made participants aware about the hardcore realities of the corporate world. He began the session with an introduction of his company and how the company works in different verticals. He involved students in the session through an ice-breaking activity and later on talked on the topic, he said the journey from campus life to the corporate realm can be both exciting and challenging and students need to adapt and develop new skills to feel the excitement of the corporate world.  

Mr. Bist talked about the significance of effective communication, teamwork, and professional etiquette in a corporate setting. The workshop also highlighted the importance of setting realistic expectations, embracing a growth mindset, and seeking opportunities for continuous learning and development. Overall, the session aimed to equip students with the essential knowledge and tools necessary to smoothly navigate the transition from campus to corporate and succeed in their professional careers.

Seminar on "Labour Laws and Social Security in India"

A Seminar on "Labour Laws and Social Security in India" was organised by the School of Law, KCC Institute of Legal & Higher Education on 3 May 2023. The resource Person,  Mr Alok Verma, Director-HR, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) covered all four labour codes, namely, the Code on Wages, 2019, the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, the Code on Social Security, 2020 and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 in a very simplified manner.  He used his real-life experiences as case examples to explain the implications of these social security measures in public sector units. The students were also made acquainted with the basic procedures which are to be followed while restoring the settlement of Industrial Dispute. The speaker also encouraged participants to know more about India's defence sector.  Listening to the experiences of practitioners from India's aerospace and defence company was inspiring for the participants.
